People We Met in Vegas

During our travels in Las Vegas my 3D lens attracted attention.

People would stop us on the street to ask about the lens and how it works, and, in return I offered to take their photo with a promise to post them when I got home.

Some of the photos turned out and some did not.  Some photos I am happy with and some I am less than thrilled with.  Having said this I have posted them all so that should you be visiting to see the photo I took of you there will be something here, but I also appologize for the poor quality of some of these.

I have also posted in both anaglyph (red/blue glasses) and cross eye format.  To learn how to view in cross eye click here.

Of all the photos I took in Las Vegas I am most sorry for the photos of these girls.  They were out on a night of bachlorette partying and I was so caught up in their excitement that I moved when taking the photos and thus they are blurred.  Oh, how I wish I could have met them again to get a proper photo.

Good Luck with your wedding.

If any of you would like a copy of these photos just email me and I will send you the original file.  frostgd@hotmail.com

The next post will be photos of the Casinos

Our Trip to Las Vegas

We just returned from a one week visit to Las Vegas.

In the next few posts I will be featuring photos from this trip.

My next post will be of the people we met during this visit that asked to have their photos taken in 3D.  It will just take me a bit of time to put them together and then post them.  I just want everyone we met to know that the photos will be coming.

In the mean time here is a photo of Julie.  Julie is a Showgirl from the Jubilee Las Vegas production extravaganza featured at Bally's Resort and Casino.

Be sure to  return as there are 3D photos, Panoramas, Videos all taken in Las Vegas, which I will be posting in the next few days or so.

October 3D Challenge

As I stated in earlier posts, each month, a forum I belong to has a challenge on different subject matters.  October's challenge is Transportation:

This is my entry

Fairey Swordfish torpedo BomberThis Swordfish HS 554 is the only one of its kind to be registered privately. It was restored and is extant at Bob Spence Farm, Muirkirk, Ontario. HS554, flew 362 hours during the war on Canada's east coast, serving with 745 squadron RT Flight Yarmouth 1943-1944. Bob Spence, of Muirkirk Ontario, bought his first Swordfish as a derelict at the Ernie Simmons estate sale near Tillsonburg, on Labor Day weekend, 1970. Over the next few years, three more Swordfish relics were purchased for parts. Over twenty-one years, Bob, with the help of many friends and volunteers, gradually brought the huge biplane back to life. Using original patterns and materials specified in a 1934 Fairey Aviation list, they pooled their enthusiasm and skill in the reconstruction project. Containing 60% newly manufactured parts, Bob's Swordfish first flew on 17 August, 1992 with Bob at the controls. Since then, it has become a familiar and popular sight at airshows and events in southern Ontario, recalling the history made by the machine and the men who flew her.

Today she resides with the Vintage Wings of Canada

Vintage Wings of Canada is an aviation museum of historically significant aircraft, organized as a charitable foundation. The facility is located at the Ottawa Executive Airport. It was founded by former Cognos CEO and philanthropist Michael Potter. Most aircraft in the collection are in flying condition and are frequently flown.

Kim and Little Kiyana

When I woke up today I found that my wife had guests.  Kim and her daughter Kiyana (8 months old) were here to say hello.

Kim was nice enough to allow me to take photos and post them here.  She tells me her father is also into taking 3D photos, so I am hoping for a visit from him and perhaps a comment.  I would love to know what he thinks of my 3D photos of his Daughter and Grandaughter.

Thanks Kim for allowing me to practice.

I am posting in both cross-eye and anaglyph to ensure Kim's Dad can find the format he is comfortable with.

I hope you like these and next time you visit I will be ready and get some good ones.

A Thanksgiving Day Walk in the Forest

What would Thanksgiving Day be without a walk to check out the leaves.

I managed to get photos of my Daughter:

Lili-Anne

Over 25 years ago I saw this sculpture and immediately knew I had to have it.  Yes, I love all things to do with boats and ships, and this being in a storm made it even more interesting to me.  But... the reason I had to have it was because of the looks on the faces of the two fishermen.  Look into their eyes, the artist has absolutely captured the moment.

I am posting in both Cross Eye View and Anaglyph (red/blue glasses).  I hope more people can enjoy the 3D experience as a result of this.

I hope these photos somewhat capture the beauty of this sculpture and that you have enjoyed them.
