A Cold Walk With The Dog

Today was one of the coldest days so far this winter, wind blowing and snow drifting made for a rough experience.

Here are a few photos from the walk.

Days like this really make me anxious for our cruise to Hawaii coming up on February 1st, 2012.

My Wife's Santa Shelf

Each Christmas, among the many other things she does, my Wife hangs and decorates a santa shelf.  She has been collecting these santas over the years and now has a display worthy of note.

Here are a few photos of how it turned out this year.

And... No Christmas post would be complete without a photo of our Christams Tree.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas.

My Grandson and His Barn

My Grandson:

... and His Barn:

Last week we went to visit Grandson #1 and he took me on a visit of "his" barn.  What is nice about that, is he can go inside the barn if an adult is with him, so I was a necessary component of his plan.

Here are the photos I took while getting the "royal" tour.

All the photos in this post are Anaglyph (red/blue glasses) because our Grandson and his Mother should have their new set of glasses so they can see the 3D.  I hope this is correct and they do in fact have them.

The Black and White Season

Well yesterday it became official.  We entered into the black and white season of winter.

I say the black and white season, because, dispite all the photos you see on post cards, the snow is either white, when it first falls, or black after they spray it with salt and the cars drive over it.  Believe me there is nothing pretty about that, just wet cold black slush!

But, having said all that, the first snow is always nice to see and it looks like it just came out of a post card.  Here is a photo of our back yard.

Vegas Trip comes to an End

Having returned home with empty pockets and limited photos, my posts too have come to an end.

Here is the photo I find to be the most representative of our trip to Las Vegas.

Once again this is a photo of Julie, a showgirl from the Ballys Jubilee Review.  I took her photo on a backstage tour and placed her with the welcome to Vegas sign.

The Art of Las Vegas (Part 1)

It is impossible to walk anywhere in Las Vegas without seeing unbelievable art of all types and descriptions.  The following two posts are dedicated to the art photos I took during our trip.
