While visiting the Byward Market we came across these street performers. They had quite the gathering of watchers, for good reason.

The Byward Market Street Painter
This is Francois Pelletier, a street painter. I would call him an artist of the street but this is the title he chose!
His work is fantastic and must be seen be to believed. You can contact him at frapelletier@hotmail.com.

Canada Day Fireworks
It's getting dark outside so time for the fireworks. I held off posting them until it was dark to make sure you could see them.
This is not only the first time I have taken 3D photos of fireworks, BUT, the first time ever taking fireworks so I have only posted the ones that turned out. I didn't even have a tripod. I just braced the camera against my car and started shooting. I am happy with the ones that turned out. Next year I will be ready and hopefully will get better results.
Comments always welcome.
The Canada Day Crowds
Canada Day just wouldn't be Canada Day without at least one panic attack due to closterfobia.
Watching the medics remove people on stretchers due to heat exhaustion is all part of the fun. It's called survival and no respectable Canada Day would be the same without it.
Here they are.... The Hoards!!
Later tonight I will post the Fireworks. I have to wait till it gets dark so you can see them. I know... I know... The waiting is killing you!
The Royals Celebrate Canada Day
Again: I was so far away from the stage, with a large crowd in front of me. This resulted in my having to magnify and sharpen the photos just to be able to see the Royal Couple.
It is far from great but at least I have some photos to share.
The Royals On Parliament Hill on July 1st, CANADA DAY.
And finally... A Royal Watcher sees her Prince!
More Canada Day Photos to come, including the Fireworks!

A late Post to keep a Promise
While at the festivities today I met some people and subsequently took photos of them. I promissed I would post the photos for them to see and will share the files with them if they so wish. All they need do is email me at frostgd@hotmail.com.
The most important photo first:
Canada's Pride and Joy, recognized around the world! Yes our RCMP, on the Hill today to keep us all safe and happy. Thank you!
These two young ladies asked me to take their photo, with their camera. I happily did so and then offered to take their photo in 3D. After that off they went to enjoy their Canada Day. I hope they had fun.
I caught a photo of this lady as she was being interviewed by a TV broadcast. Later I got talking with her and her husband. Turns out they are from the East Coast and are "Cruisers". They have been on a number of cruise ships but their favorite is Holland America. Boo!! We love Princess but here is your photo anyway. I hope you had fun in Ottawa.
I did get photos of the Canada Day Fireworks, and there are more Downtown photos to come in the following posts.

Happy Canada Day
Happy Canada Day to everyone. Of course this means the annual migration into the hoards in order to get hot, sweaty and thursty!
BUT this year we (Canada) had some new Royals to welcome as they make their first visit abroad! They chose Canada and are here to help us celebrate our birthday.
The Duke and Duchess arrive on stage on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The photos have been sharpened up so as to better view the couple. I was quite a distance from the couple.
More Canada Day photos to come, along with more photos of the Royal Couple.
