Day 3 at Sea

Well it is our third straight day at sea and FINALLY we are getting some movement on the ship due to wave action.  We are told the seas are 12 - 14 foot swells but we are hitting them directly so we are going up and down but no side to side movement.  After talking with some of the crew I have come to know, they tell me that they would rate the movement of the ship to be about a 7 out of 10 on the uncomfortable scale.

What was really interesting to view was the different swimming pools on the upper decks.  The pool in the middle of the ship splashed wildly with water slashing at one end and then the other.  But...  If you went to one of the pools located at either end of the ship (aft pool or  Lotus pool) there were hardly any waves at all.  It was almost like there was a wave machine attached to the middle pools.  Very much fun to watch.

My wife felt a little on the uncomfortable side all day today, this even with ginger pills and the patch.  I, however, was having too much fun to find time to be sick.

Here are some of the photos and I even have a video in 3D to really give you a feel for the movement.  Be sure to have you speakers turned on as you don't want to miss the sound of the ocean, the wind and the nice music I added just for your listening pleasure.

Now, here are some of the photos I took.

Next post, the evening entertainment of Day 3 at sea, and someone special joins us for dinner.
